STAGED CONCERTS
Jérôme Pernoo created the “concert-spectacles.” Designed around a major work of chamber music, these concerts are literally staged by elements of live performance and by a choreography of musicians who move and describe the score by playing by heart.
With the collaboration of scenographers such as Camille Dugas, the musical material is combined with elements of the sensitive – sets, lights, voiceovers, soundtracks, images, animated films, puppets, etc. – to support a story around a major work from the repertoire.
The effect produced by these concert-shows is striking for both connoisseurs and novice audiences.
It's a new way to share music in concert.
These concerts have been produced since 2015 by the Paris Chamber Music Center, in residence at Salle Cortot, in partnership with the MC93 and the Ferme du Buisson.
